Business With A Purpose

So many people are trying to be “the best”…

When I started my first business, I knew that I wanted to create it as an alter to what He had done in my life…

It was 2016 and I was just about to finish massage therapy school. As I was preparing myself to receive and begin to use my license to practice, I knew deep down that I was not going to work for anyone but myself! I also knew that I wanted to bring healing to those in mind, body and spirit through massage in a way that honored God, and I wouldn’t have the freedom to do that while working for someone else.

Not knowing a lick about business, I took a deep dive into educating myself through as much free content as I could get my hands on; from marketing, legal LLC filing, bank account management, website design, networking, etc! I spent hours upon hours reading and researching on how to build and offer the best possible experience to my clientele.

I believe there is so much information out there that it’s easy to feel like you’re drinking from a firehose and the overwhelm alone can give you the urge to stop and feel like, “what’s the use!?”

What I have found though, is that the BEST business coach is… GOD! (<< peep the tee!)

Are you really surprised by my answer??

I mean, really, the One who created the Heavens and the Earth, and why aren’t we going to Him first for business advice!? In all my research, never once did I come across a clear way to hear from the Holy Spirit in business… until now!

Two way journaling quickly became the best way to hear from the Lord regarding everything in my life… and some of you may think, “Does God really have that much to say to me?” YES!!
You are His daughter! His crowning jewel! The apple of His eye… of course He wants to commune with you regarding everything in life, including business.
If you believe that God gave you this business/brand idea, then He wants to do something in and through you, “for such a time as this”.

So much in our culture we see people trying to be “the best”, the best entrepreneur, the best at what they do, the best “this”, “that” or “the other”; and really what should break us apart from the norm is that 1) we follow Christ, and 2) we become servantsnot the best.

I have noticed in my experience of business is that a very small percentage of individuals fully TRUST their business into God’s hands. Remember, everything is HIS, including your business!

If you squirm in your seat, GOOD! You have room to grow… but allow youself to take a deep breath. Because when hardship comes, and it will, you get to turn to The One who is in charge and say, “You have another bill to pay, Lord” or “What do you want me to do with this situation?
Believe it or not He will provide an answer or make a way.

I know that sounds too good to be true, and not everything will work out so simply… but He will never leave you nor forsake you.

I am a walking testimony that if you manage well what He has entrusted to you, and constantly surrendering to His will… He will take care of the rest!

Shalom,

Meghan LeBlanc
